What is a Religion?

According to Wiki, A Religion is an organized collection of beliefs, cultural systems, and world’s views that relate humanity to an order of existence. And all of them have their sacred histories that aim to explain the meaning of life, the origin of life, or the Universe.

How were Religions formed? Is the process still active?

We all read news feed daily and they are flooded of Religious fights & discussion. But we hardly notice that how some great love & popularity changes to devotion, let me illustrate that, How many have you read or hear the headlines that presenting some famous sportsmen, singers or actors as the GOD of their profession. I have also heard about people creating new temples for them. People want to express their devotion for their favorite celebrity and in the most cases, their favorite saint.
